Serena Williams will face Harmony Tan of France on her return to Wimbledon after the draw for the event was announced today.
If Williams beats Tan, she will play No. 32 seed Sara Sorribes Tormo of Spain or 242nd-ranked American Christina McHale in the second round, then possibly 2021 Wimbledon runner-up Karolina Pliskova in the third round and No. 11 seed Coco Gauff in the fourth round.
No. 1 seed Iga Świątek will face Croatian qualifier Jana Fett and US Open champion Emma Raducanu will play Belgian Alison Van Uytvanck, providing she recovers from a side strain in time.
Van Uytvanck, 28, has reached the fourth round at Wimbledon before and is currently ranked 46th in the world, so will be a tough opponent for Raducanu.
