ATP president Andrea Gaudenzi said he expects vaccination rates among players to be at about 90 per cent within two months.

Speaking to French sports media L’Equipe, Gaudenzi also said he was confident Australian authorities would allow unvaccinated players to play the Melbourne Grand Slam in January.

“Tennis Australia has assured us is that if a player has had direct contact with a positive, he will be tested and in case of a negative, he will not have to quarantine.” He said.

“However, we are confident that the Australian government will allow unvaccinated players to compete.”
