Stefanos Tsitsipas lost his fifth final of the season as the world No. 5 went down 6-4, 6-4 on Sunday in Stockholm to Holger Rune,

The Greek has come up short in 2022 finals at Rotterdam, Rome, Cincinnati and Astana but holds trophies from Monte Carlo and Mallorca.

Danish teenager Rune took victory in 95 minutes, with 20 winners as he beat a Top 5 player for the third time. He also defeated Tsitsipas last spring at Roland Garros.

“It was an unbelievable match from my side,” the winner said. “I knew it was going to be difficult, but I just tried to stick to the game plan.

“I had to play my best tennis today and it was good that I could find the level. I am super happy. I was making a lot of returns and playing pretty well behind my serve.”
