Stefanos Tsitsipas added to his leading match-win season total, posting his 39th on Friday to reach the ATP final in Mallorca, his fourth of the season..

The Greek who has never won a title on grass, will face off against Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut, who held off 308-ranked Swiss qualifier Antoine Bellier 7-6(5), 6-2; Tsitsipas defeated Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi 6-4, 6-4.

The winner, who backed up his win last week in Halle against Bonzi in the second round, advanced to the Spanish title match in 92 minutes, saving all three break points he faced.

Tsitsipas now faces a repeat of a familiar situation on the even of Wimbledon: “I’ve played a final the week before a Grand Slam before (2021 in Lyon), the year I made the final at Roland Garros.

“It worked out pretty well to have that final and consistency of matches.”It is different this time. We are talking about a different surface, so we will see.”

RBA will be competing in the 20th final of his career and owns a grass trophy from 2014 in the Netherlands.

The Spanish fifth seed won his 40th career match on grass against 17 losses and comes to the court with a title from Doha this season.
