Tsitsipas finally getting vaccinated

World number three, Stefanos Tsitsipas, has not always been 100% on board with the covid-19 vaccination.

“I do not believe that the vaccine has been proven,” said Tsitsipas during the Cincinnati open.

“I do not see any reason why someone my age should be vaccinated.

“Everyone has their point of view. We all have the right to do what we think is right. – no one can force me to get it.”

Now the 23-year-old Greek plans to get the vaccine, in order to return to a normal social life. “It will certainly happen sometime this year.”

Tsitsipas has admitted to not being the foremost authority on the issue. “I am not a doctor; I am a tennis player,” he said. “So I may not have the most substantiated opinion when it comes to medical issues.”

Tsitsipas’ next big tournament is expected to be Indian Wells in october.
