Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas has admitted he is finding it hard to stay motivated after resuming his training regime in France.

“It is difficult to find motivation,” Tsitsipas said from the Mouratoglou Academy.

“You just have to play tennis and just enjoy it and not think too much about who is your next opponent or where is your next tournament.

“It’s quite tricky. I want to do it like a pre-season but at the same time I’m like, ‘Wait, it might take a long time to start competing again.”

With no firm date in sight for a return to ATP events, Tsitsipas said sometimes he doesn’t wasn’t to play, “but I do it because it’s for the better,” he told Alize Lim on Tennis Majors.

Tsitsipas has also teamed up with Patrick Mouratoglou to provide financial aid to lower-ranked players during the COVID-19 suspension.

“Me and Patrick decided to start this fundraiser to help players outside of the top 100, and help them financially during this crisis” he said.
