Thiem, Zverev pull out of Rome Masters

US Open finalists Dominic Thiem and Alexander Zverev have withdrawn from the Rome Masters.

The pair who, because of COVID-19 restrictions, couldn’t make it to Rome in time play, have been replaced by Alexander Bublik and Richard Gasquet.

The draw for the Internazionali BNL d’Italia will take place on this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal has practising hard at the Foro Italico in preparation for the event to get underway Monday.

It will be the Spaniard’s first tournament since he won the title at Acapulco in February.

The world No.2 is the defending Italian Open champion.
