Swiss young gun Dominic Stricker is following an historic coaching path pioneered by compatriot Roger Federer by taking a trial with Peter Lundgren.
The Swede, 58, will step back into the game for up to a month to see if he and the 20-year-old ranked 126 can form a solid team.
Lundgren worked with Federer two decades ago from 2000 to 2003 with their surprise split announced shortly after the rising talent won the ATP year-end event in Houston.
Along with tennis, metal-head Lundgren introduced the Swiss teenager to hard rock music, specifically AC-DC.
Lundgren was with Federer in 2003 when the Swiss won his first Wimbledon title.
Lungren, who last coached a decade ago, has worked with some of the biggest names in the sport including Marcelo Rios, Marat Safin, Marcos Baghdatis, Grigor Dimitrov, Stan Wawrinka and Daniela Hantuchova.
