Iga Swiatek stormed to her 30th consecutive win victory as the top seed showed off her pedigree with a 6-0, 6-2 humiliation of Alison Riske on Thursday at Roland Garros.

The world No. 1 Pole who won the Paris trophy in 2020 now possesses the longest WTA win streak since Serena Wiliams nine years ago.

Her latest thrashing included her 15th 6-0 set of the season; the win last eight minutes longer than a first-round hammering which took 54 minutes.

Riske saved a match point with a second serve ace but went down to defeat on Swiatek’s second chance with a return gone long.

“I’m pretty happy, I’m playing really solid tennis,” Swiatek said. “This was my first singles match on Lenglen court, I’m pleased to play here.”

Swiatek advanced with 23 winners and 5 unforced errors, losing just 10 points on serve.

The Pole next plays Danka Kovinic of Montenegro, who beat Anna Karolina Schmiedlova 6-3, 7-5.
