Swiatek shocked by dominant Alexandrova

Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova produced a stunning performance to beat French Open champion Iga Swiatek at the Gippsland Trophy in Melbourne today.

The 26-year-old Russian dominated the game to oust the Pole 6-4, 6-2 and set up a quarterfinal clash with Simona Halep.

The Russian never trailed in the match, serving seven aces and breaking her opponent’s serve four times.
