Iga Swiatek overwhelmed Madison Keys with the loss of just four games on Thursday to book a second consecutive final at the Madrid Masters.
The world No. 1 advanced 6-1, 6-3 over the American who won the US Open seven years ago.
Swiatek spent 70 minutes on the victory and needs just one more to earn her third Masters 1000 title of the season after Doha and Indian Wells.
The Pole awaits a Saturday finals opponent from second seed Aryna Sabalenka or No.4 Elena Rybakina.
Swiatek fended off three break points form her American opponent and lifted her record in the series to 3-1; she has now won 29 matches this season.
She is the sixth woman to reach back-to-back finals in Madrid.
“It was a pretty clean performance and really solid game from myself,” Swiatek said. “I’m happy with everything.”
She added: “I’m happy that we can play a final against the top players,” Swiatek said.
“It shows consistency. For sure it’s going to be a challenge, whoever it’s gonna be, and a tough match.
“I will be ready. I will focus on myself. Yeah, we’ll see.”
