Swiatek loving life in her Doha comfort zone

Iga Swiatek notched up a 10th straight win at the WTA Qatar Open on Wednesday, moving into the quarter-finals over 14th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova 6-1, 6-4.

The world No. 1 winner is defending her title and has won the Gulf tournament twice; her latest victory took 91 minutes.

Swiatek polished her record at the tournament to a solid 11-1 with her only losing coming four years ago to Svetlana Kuznetsova; she has not lost a set here in two years..

The winner had to work for victory and needed five match points in the final game to get over the line and into the last eight after saving all eight break points she faced..
