Swiatek jumps 37 places in WTA rankings

New French Open champion Iga Swiatek is the biggest climber in the WTA rankings announced today, jumping 37 places to make the top 20 at No. 17.

In an otherwise stable list, Ash Barty remains No.1, despite not playing for months because of the COVID-19 pandemic and Simona Halep is still tucked behind her in second spot.

Naomi Osaka, who ddinlt compete in Paris, is third, with Roland Garros finalist Sofia Kenin up two places to fourth, largely at the expense of Czech Karolina Pliskova, who drops tho places to six.

Petra Kvitova moves to eighth after a solid French performance, with little change elsewhere on the listings.
