Jannik Sinner had to fight back to reach the fourth round of the Miami Masters on Sunday, overcoming Karen Khachanov 4-6, 7-6(2), 6-4.

The Italian teenager destined for the ATP elite needed almost three hours to emerge with the victory.

Sinner felt the weight of accumulated matches as he struggled early on against his Russian opponent.

Sinner managed to rally after falling into the first-set hole, overcoming four double faults and three breaks of serve to finally escape.
