Aryna Sabalenka was too good for Belinda Bencic, overpowering the Swiss 7-5, 6-2 to reach the Australian Open quarter-finals on Monday.

But The Belarusian made 12 unforced errors and went a break down to Swiss Bencic early in the first set before she found her rhythm and took control, with an array of awesome firepower.

At 4-4, she survived a double fault to power on to take the opening set as the second proved a lot easier.

Sabalenka jumped into 3-1 lead and never looked back, wrapping up the win with a big forehand.

The Belarusian will face Croatian Donna Vekic or Czech teenager Linda Fruhvirtova in the last-eight.

“I’m super happy with the win today, she’s an unbelievable player and she played so good,” Sabalenka said.
