Fans won’t be part of the plan for a second straight edition at the ATP Rotterdam event next month, officials confirmed.

“The uncertainty about the measures regarding events in the period the tournament takes place, makes it impossible to admit visitors during the largest indoor sports event in the Netherlands,” organisers said in a statement.

Added TD Richard Krajicek: “It’s a huge disappointment. For the players, for us, but especially for the fans.

“For the second year in a row we have a fantastic line up, without a live audience present due to the measures that are currently in place.

“The fact that the tournament can be followed live throughout the week around the world is a small consolation.”

Top five players Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas head the indoor field.
