British No. 1 Cameron Norrie extended his winning run with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Stefanos Tsitsipas on Friday to qualify for the Mexican Open final where he will meet either Rafael Nadal or Daniil Medvedev.
“I served very well today, I really enjoyed the match, it´s one of my best wins, I hope we can keep the run alive tomorrow”, Norrie said afterwards.
Norrie’s break came in the ninth game of the first set and again in the second to see off the challenge of No. 4 seed Tsitsipas.
Norrie, who is now 10-1 in February, will play the winner of the late match between Nadal and Medvedev.
“It´s going to be a great match regardless of whom I´m going to play against, it´s going to be hard,” Norrie added.
