British broadcaster the BBC has revealed record viewing figures for Sunday’s men’s final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon.
In the UK 15 million people watched the final, and the match received 4.1m downloads on its streaming service.
The peak audience of 11.3m is the largest since Andy Murray beat Milos Raonic in the 2016 Wimbledon.
The BBC said 25.6 million people watched the two-week event on its channel.
Saturday’s women’s final between Marketa Vondrousova and Ons Jabeur drew a peak audience of 4.5m, streaming 1.3m times on BBC iPlayer.
