Canadian Milos Raonic will end a fourth month of tennis inactivity after withdrawing from Wimbledon.

The 2016 finalist who lost to Andy Murray in the title match, cited a calf injury which has kept him off the Tour since early March, when he lost in the Miami fourth round.

One-time ATP No. 3 Raonic posted his “incredibly sad” news on social media.

“”I wanted to share with you that I am incredibly sad and hurt that I cannot be ready to compete at Wimbledon this year.

“I have been working very hard to solve these physical problems, but I had a little setback.

“I will not be ready for Wimbledon. I will continue working hard to be able to return to the circuit as soon as possible.”
