Emma Raducanu will start 2023 with another coach in her box, with British media reporting that the former US Open winner will now be guided by the mentor who helped Belinda Bencic to Olympic gold.
Raducanu, who won the Open in 2021 from an unprecedented qualifying start, has gone through a heaping handful of coaches since her big success, sacking the Brit who took her to the Grand Slam title in the weeks following.
Her latest guidance came from former ATP player Dmitry Tursunov, whose Russian passport seriously limited his ability to travel.
Raducanu is working at this weekend’s exhibition in Abu Dhabi with German Sebastian Sachs, who guided Switzerland’s Bencic to success at the Tokyo Olympics according to London’s Mail Online.
Sachs also previously coached Victoria Azarenka, and Germany’s Julia Goerges.
Raducanu has also been coached by German Torben Beltz (formerly with Angelique Kerber) along with Brits Andrew Richardson – who took her to her Open title – and Andy Murray’s father-in-law Nigel Sears.
