Emma Raducanu will represent Great Britain in the Billie Jean King Cup, for the first time in her career.
The team will consist of Raducanu, Dart, Boulter and Kartal, with Raducanu being the only member inside the top 100 of the women’s rankings.
Great Britain will play Czechia on the 15th and 16th of April. Czechia is one of the stronger women’s teams, with world number two Krejcikova, world number eight Pliskova, and world number one doubles player Siniakova, as well as a swathe of other top 100 players.
Interestingly, the match will be held on the clay courts of Prague, a surface Raducanu is yet to play on at an adult level.
The event has never been won by team GB, but the Brits have been runner up four times.
