US open champion Emma Raducanu will play her first-ever women’s doubles match on the WTA Tour today, teaming up Dane Clara Tauson at the Citi Open in Washington D.C.
For Raducaun it will be a first, but Tauson played doubles at the Australian Open earlier this year and at Wimbledon last year.
The pair, in the top section of the draw, will take on No. 3 seeds Lucie Hradecka from the Czech Republic and Romanian Monica Niculescu.
If they win, they will face the winners of Sophie Chang-Astra Sharma and Makenna Jones-Sloane Stephens match-up.
Top seeds Jessica Pegula and Erin Routliffe take on Sabrina Santamaria and Heather Watson.
