With the healing process from three wrist and ankle surgeries underway, former US Open winner Emma Raducanu appears to be topping up her piggy bank with app-based online coaching sessions costing USD 2,000 a pop.

London’s Daily Telegraph reported the initiative from the pre-Wimbledon Surbiton event, where the inactive Raducanu is in danger of losing her British No. 1 status to Katie Boulter and could drop to third under certain circumstances playing out this weekend.

Raducanu now ranks 107 – and falling – after briefly hitting 10th in the world after her surprise 2021 Grand Slam success in New York.

Her coaching app is run through US firm Airwayz and requires a USD 5-per-month  subscription.

For the massive additional fee, fans can upload videos of their own tennis style and receive feedback from Raducanu with a lag time of a fortnight.

“Within 15 business days, you’ll receive a complete review of your technique in either a written or video format, tailored specifically to your strengths and weaknesses,” the website reads.

“Don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn from one of the best players in the world.”

Raducanu is currently without a coach of her own after sacking the five she has worked with since her Open title in New York nearly two years ago.

The website features coaching and advice from multiple athletes across the spectrum.
