Naomi Osaka has been confirmed a wildcard entry for the Western & Southern Open.
There has been some doubt over her participation in the WTA event and the US Open after her name was missing from the entry list released earlier this week.
But her agent has confirmed she will compete at the Flushing Meadows double header.
USTA organisers have confirmed she will be in the field as a wildcard, which takes the number of current top 10 players competing in the event to six.
World No 3 Karolana Pliskova is the top-ranked player after Ashleigh Barty and Simona Halep both pulled out.
Sofia Kenin (No.4), Kiki Bertens (No. 7), Belinda Bencic (No. 8) and Serena Williams (No.9) are the other top 10 players.
