Roger Federer half-accepted on Monday an informal invite from Rafael Nadal to team up in an all-icon doubles pairing at the 2022 edition of the Laver Cup.
A day after team Europe crushed the World side in Boston, Nadal posted a social media message challenging his longtime Swiss rival to pair up on doubles when the team event is staged in a year at London’s O2 arena.
Nadal posted on social media” “Doubles next year?” with Federer responding: “Bringing back the old Fedal in London would be amazing.”
Both icons are still rehabbing injuries and working to be ready for the 2022 start in Australia.
Nautical Nadal recently attended the Monte Carlo boat show while Federer spent the weekend in Boston on crutches attending the Laver Cup which he founded in 2017.
