Novak Djokovic on Saturday crashed out in the semi-finals of the ATP Finals to Alexander Zverev and refused to say if he would take a COVID vaccine in order to defend his Australian Open title.
The world No. 1 who has refused for months to reveal his jab status will have some serious thinking to do after Melbourne Grand Slam officials said all players would have to be double-jabbed for the virus.
That doesn’t sit well with Djokovic, who refuses to shed any light on his plans for the first major of 2022.
“We’ll see, we’ll have to wait and see,” he said when asked about any decision.
“I’ve not been talking to them (Open officials). I’ve been waiting to hear their news.
“Now that I know, we’ll have to wait and see,” he said before shutting down any further queries on the sensitive topic.
