British No.1 Cameron Norrie followed up his Delray Beach win with a comfortable 6-1, 6-0 demolition of German Peter Gojowczyk at the Mexican Open on Thursday evening.

“I used the court to my advantage,” Norrie said.

“Very slow, very bouncy conditions. I just made it physical points and made him play one more ball.

“Even though the score was easy, it was definitely not easy. I sweat through like five shirts, and it was definitely a very physical match. I really enjoyed it.”

Norrie, who has beaten Gojowczyk’s compatriot Daniel Altmaier in round, gave little away as he fought off five break points to stay in control.

Norrie will face Australian Open semi-finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas for a spot in the final.
