Nadal-Sabatini set for tennis legends summit

Rafael Nadal and Gabriela Sabatini are due to team up next month in Buenos Aires for an exhibition mixed doubles match also featuring world No. 3 Casper Ruud.

Current legend Nadal and Argentine icon Sabatini will take on Ruud and a female partner yet to be chosen during a post-season South American tour by the two ATP standouts.

Local media report that Sabatini, 52, the winner of 41 WTA titles including the 1990 US Open, made the invitation to Nadal.

“Hi Rafael, I have a proposal for you. What do you think?” she posted on social media.

Reports indicate it’s game-on at the hit-out which will follow the ATP Finals in Turin starting November 13.

While he has been unsure about his playing schedule for the remainder of theATP season due to the birth last week of his first child in Spain, Nadal seems to have already blocked out his lucrative five-nation touring date in the Southern Hemisphere.

The 36-year-old is next due to play at the Paris Bercy Masters from October 31.
