Rafael Nadal wrote another page in tennis history on Sunday as he won a 14th French Open, with  6-3, 6-3, 6-0 defeat of Casper Ruud.

The Spaniard is now halfway to a Grand Slam title sweep this season after also lifting the trophy at the Australian Open.

Ruud was completely outplayed by the 36-year-old Spaniard, at whose academy he occasionally  trains.

Nadal polished off his trophy performance in less than two and a half hours with eight breaks of the Norwegian’s serve.
