Rafael Nadal on Saturday became a father for the first time, with wife Mary Perello giving birth to a baby boy.
Spanish sports outlet MARCA confirmed the news from Nadal’s native Mallorca.
The 36-year-old with 22 Grand Slam titles becomes the last of the “Big 4” player to start a family. Roger Federer has two sets of twins while Novak Djokovic has two children and Andy Murray boasts four.
Nadal, who raced to London last month to play the Laver Cup as friend and rival Federer retired, then rushed back to his home island after only one day on court to be by his wife’s side.
He is due to return to tennis at the Paris Masters which begins on October 31.
