Muzza plots injury return in Geneva

Andy Murray will leave it late regarding his clay season, with the Scot plotting a just-in-time return to tennis at this month’s ATP Geneva Open.

The three-time Grand Slam winner last competed in March at Indian Wells, injuring an ankle but vowing to carry on with his career as he turns 37.

He has now slotted in an appearance at the Geneva event, which ends the day before the May 26 start of Roland Garros.

Murray rolled his ankle in a loss to Czech Tomas Machac and had to miss Monte Carlo and Munich on clay during his recovery.

He is due to appear at the French Open for the first time in five years.
