Former World No.1 Andy Murray is set to be reunited with ex-coach Daniel Vallverdu.
Murray split with his long-term coach Jamie Delgado after the 2021 season and added Jan de Witt to his coaching staff on a trial basis.
That did not work as the pair parted company after a poor Australian Open that saw him lose to Taro Daniel in the second round.
“After a good win in the first round I created an opportunity for myself. It was probably a match I should win and I didn’t take that chance,”a disappointed Murray said at the time.
Murray even hinted he might retire if results in 2022 did not improve.
“This is a really important year for me for a number of reasons, and I want to perform well in the big events,” he said.
Murray will be joined by Vallverdu in Rotterdam this week, and possibly for future events as Vallverdu juggles that work with assisting Stan Wawrinka return from injury.
