PICTURE EXCLUSIVE: French tennis star Gael Monfils may have crashed out of the vAustralia Open today, but he is still a star performer when it comes to headline pictures.

Monfils lost 3-6, 7-6, 6-7, 6-7 to American Taylor Fritz in an absorbing matchup that saw 22 aces from the Frenchman – but Grandslamtennis.online’s Roger Parker captured some great mages of him in play, one airborne as he attempted another difficult shot.

The 3-hour, 24-minute second-round match gave the winner the right to play defending champion Roger Federer in the next round.

But Fritz prevailed, closing with his 15th ace of the match, to advance to the Friday showdown against the six-times Australian Open champion.

Fritz converted three of his 15 break opportunities against Monfils, who, as Roger Parker captured, was his usual acrobatic self during the match.
