The facts of the matter

Head to head is tied 1-1. Brady defeated Teichmann 1-6 6-1 6-2 at Cincinnati qualifying in 2019, but Teichmann struck back at Limoges in December 7-5 7-6(12).

Brady has served imperiously all week. In the second set against Coco Gauff she dropped just four points in five service games, winning 14/14 points on her first serve.

Teichmann emerges from a half of the draw that boasted 33 grand slam singles titles (Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Sloane Stephens and Victoria Azarenka).

In February, Brady reached the third WTA semi-final of her career in Dubai. She won six matches to get there, the best tour-level winning-streak of her career.

Teichmann won Palermo and Prague last year, but won only two other tour-level main-draw matches in 2019.
