Kyrgios will continue his recovery with doubles tournament in London next week and has accepted a wildcard into the Surbiton Trophy Challenger event.
The Aussie withdrew from the French Open with an elbow injury but showed some decent form, albeit in doubles, winning the ATP doubles title in Lyon two weeks ago, with American Jack Sock.
Kyrgios has not had a singles match since mid-April and explained the wanted to take a slow road back to fitness because of the injury and revealed he was only 80 per cent ready for the French Open.
Another Aussie, Bernard Tomic, has been labelled the ‘biggest party animal’ in tennis by former world No. 1 Marat Safin.
Asked where Tomic’s priorities were, Safin said: “It’s party, party, party … then tennis.”

There are quite a few Aussies at the Surbiton event, including veteran Lleyton Hewitt , who will partner Alex Bolt in the doubles, before he teams up with Kyrgios at Queen’s.
Meanwhile, Aussie Sam Stosur, a former finalist at RG went through to the last 32 with an impressive 6-2 7-6 (1) win over her doubles partner Anastasia Pavlychenkova. Stosur has been unseeded for the first time in a decade because of injury, but believes her record in Paris gives her plenty of confidence.
“I’ve had good success here, I love playing on these courts and it’s probably one of my favourite places to play,” she said on her website, samstosur.com.
“So that’s always going to give you a bit of a lift. When you get into little tight moments, you can sort of draw on that and know you’ve been able to do it before in this exact place.”
