Aussie firebrand Nick Kyrgios has withdrawn from the Australian Open men’s warm-up tournament in Melbourne today with asthma.
Kyrgios, whom has been rehabbing a knee injury, was to take on Slovakian Alex Molcan at Melbourne Park today.
Kyrgios, now ranked at a lowly 93, was given a wildcard into the ATP 250 tournament.
He has also been handed a wildcard for next week’s Sydney Tennis Classic.
A lucky loser will now replace the 26-year-old Australian in the main draw.
