Kasatkina crushes Giorgi in RG

Daria Kasatkina crushed Italian hopes in 82 minutes with a 6-2, 6-2 dispatch of Camila Giorgi for a Roland Garros quarter-finals spot on Monday.

The winner began the second week in Paris by booking back into the last eight for the first time since her debut appearance at that level here in 2018.

Kasatkina has been on fire at this edition, moving through without the loss of a set and conceding just 14 games in four matches.

Against Giorgi, she saved all six break points she faced as her tennis returns to the level which once took her to the Top 10.
