Nick Kyrgios advanced to the third round of the US Open on Wednesday – and marked it in typical style complaining to the umpire of marijuana smoke.
Kyrgios had earlier been warned for spitting on the court and a series of expletives, but his latest rant during the third set of the match.
“It was f***ing marijuana. It was smoke. Obviously I’m not going to complain about food,” Kyrgios was heard on the on-court microphone.
“When athletes are running side to side and they have asthma, it’s probably not ideal.”
After the match, Kyrgios took a huge swipe at New York.
‘It’s very different to the way we live Down Under (in Australia). It’s a crazy place, I don’t know how anyone can live here,’ he said in an interview on-court after his win.
