Fragile Brit Emma Raducanu may be facing a mystery in jury crisis after she failed to front up for an exhibition in California.

The former US Open champion who has done little to prove herself since her September, 2021, title miracle in New York, was absent without explanation at the exhibition staged in advance of this week’s start of the Indian Wells Masters.

The situation is understandably raising doubts about the fitness of the 20-year-old who has suffered through a string of injuries as well as hiring and firing multiple coaches.

Raducanu pulled the plug on participation alongside compatriot Cam Norrie at the Eisenhower Cup. Her Indian Wells first round is set for Thursday against Danka Kovinic.

The No. 77 has not stepped onto a match court since losing to Coco Gauff in the Australian Open second round in January.
