Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov said he was disappointed after being forced to retire during his first round French Open clash with American Marcos Giron.

Dimitrov was leading by two sets to one when he retired in the fourth set with injury.

“I don’t know what to say. Disappointed. But it’s sport, it happens,” he said. “I still don’t know exactly what the problem is, but we’ll find out in few days. Then it’ll get clear whether I’ll be ready for grass.

I feel very bad, and the pain doesn’t allow me to show what I can.”
