Former world No.1 faces fraud charges

Former world No. 1 Arantxa Sanchez Vicario is facing four years in jail for fraud.

Spanish prosecutors have alleged a series of fraudulent operations made by Sanchez Vicario

while working with her former husband Josep Santacana.

Sanchez Vicario has been accused of moving her assets to avoid paying a $5m debt to Banque de Luxembourg, which had been claiming an amount running into the millions of euros since 2010, according to Spanish newspaper El Pais.

Sanchez Vicario won of 29 WTA titles during her career, earning over $17m.
