Emma Raducanu has sacked her sixth coach in 18 months, with the one-time British ingenue parting company with German Sebastian Sachs, her handlers announced on Thursday.

The surprise 2021 US Open winner’s game has never recovered after getting rid of Andrew Richardson who led her to Grand Slam glory from a qualifying start

The 20-year-old who has not played since mid-April, is currently out of action after surgeries on both wrist and an ankle.

She brought Sachs on board last December, following her dismissal of former ATP player Dmitry Tursunov.

Sachs, like Tursunov, brought a rich seam of experience to the Raducanu camp, which is apparently controlled by a Romanian father with no direct tennis experience.

The 30-year-old Sachs coached Swiss Belinda Bencic to the Tokyo Olympic gold medal and has also worked with German Julia Gorges and former No. 1 Victoria Azarenka.

Raducanu expressed zero emotion on a pro forma tweet as she announced the firing:

“I have really enjoyed Seb’s coaching and working with him, it’s unfortunate that circumstances made it unfeasible for both of us to continue right now and we have decided to part ways.

“I wish Seb all the best moving forwards..”

raducanu has played just 10 matches this season, retiring from the Auckland second round in early January.
