An upsurge on COVID-19 cases has spelled the end for the back-to-back ATP and WTA Moscow events, with Tour officials calling both off on Thursday.
Men were due to have competed in the Russian capital from October 19-25 while women were to follow on October 26/November 1
Both tournaments are now dead as the pandemic continues to affect an already patched-together autumn tennis calendar.
The Moscow city administration put the final boot into the plans, revoking permission for the tournaments to be staged due to the local health situation.
