One won’t be enough for Dominic Thiem, with the defending US Open winner setting himself a heavy target of additional Grand Slam success in what promises to be a demanding 2021 season.
With tennis forced to again work around the COVID-19 pandemic, the ATP No. 3 still aims to be striving for perfection on court.
“To be honest, winning the Grand Slams is my top priority,” he told the “Sport and Talk from Hangar-7” show on Servus TV.
“If I don’t manage to win one or I am not close to achieving it, I will not be entirely satisfied.
“Finishing the year No. 1 is not the main thing for me,” the Austrian added.
“It would be very good, but if I finish as No. 1 and also win a Grand Slam I would be a very happy person.”
