Carlos Alcaraz insisted on Monday that he should have no problem fronting up for his opening match at this week’s Paris Masters despite carrying a knee problem.
“It’s just some little problems,” the 19-year-old top seed said.
“Every player at the end of the year has problems in their bodies. You have to play with that just a little bit. But it’s not too serious.”
Alcaraz, who lost a weekend Basel semi-final to eventual tournament champion Felix Auger-Aliassime, is due to begin in the second round after a bye at the Bercy arena against Yoshihito Nishioka.
