Andy Murray cruised through into the second round of the San Diego Open with a straight sets win 6-3, 6-2 over American Denis Kudla on Tuesday.
It took wildcard Murray, 34, and now ranked 109, just 69 minutes to beat 94th-ranked Kudla.
The Brit will face Norwegian second seed Casper Ruud in the second round.
Murray won 90 per cent of his first serve points and won 47 per cent of second serve points, converting three of four break points on his way to victory.
