Former world No.1 Karolina Pliskova has parted ways with coach Daniel Vallverdu due to ‘time commitments’.
Pliskova is planning to begin off-season training next week, something Vallverdu couldn’t commit to.
“Due to the reduced number of WTA tournaments by the end of the year, the tournament in Ostrava was my last in the season,” Pliskova tweeted.
“Unfortunately, due to time commitments, my coach Daniel Vallverdu and I have mutually agreed to no longer work together. I’d like to thank Dani for the work and the time we’ve spent together.”
Pliskova ended 2020 with a win-loss record of 14-8 and prize money of just over $880,000.
